History of the Seiko Samurai 

First introduced in 2004, the Seiko Prospex Samuari has risen to become an emblem on the brand. Bringing the Japanese art of timekeeping to the world of diving watches, the Seiko Samurai was considered a sophisticated and impressive timepiece.  

While gaining attention from watch enthusiasts across the globe, the Samurai was only in production for a few short years before being removed from the catalogue completely.  

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Seiko Samurai has undergone a complete transformation. The new 2024 model is smaller, fully redesigned, and features a more refined look. It comes in three versions: the burgundy red SRPL11, the classic black-on-steel SRPL13, and the black-coated SRPL15.

Featuring 3 new models with interesting colour schemes, the Seiko Prospex expands its range without sacrificing style.  

First up is a strong black model. Exclusive to Chisholm Hunter, the Seiko Prospex Samurai 4R SRPL15K1 embodies the essence of a true samurai. With contrasting hour markers and hands, this diver's watch goes beyond the waves.  

Be bold with the Seiko Prospex Samurai 4R Red Diver. A sleek stainless bracelet is brought to life with a deep red bezel and dial. Visually, the new model incorporates the steep, angled lugs of the Shogun, sharp as if crafted by a Samurai sword, and mirrors the crown design of the Samurai model with the straight lines of both designs. 

Last, but most certainly not least, the Seiko Prospex Samuari 4r Black Diver’s is a dominant display of sophistication. The all-black dial and bezel are complete with a durable stainless-steel bracelet. In terms of size, this watch boasts a compact 41.7mm diameter case and a slim design for comfortable wear. It features sharp new design elements, including a date window at 4:30, pointed hands, and a newly shaped bracelet. Meeting the recognised ISO standard for professional diving watches, it is equipped with an in-house 4R35 movement that offers a 40-hour power reserve.
