Seiko Prospex 'Marine Green' GMT Mens Watch
This modern re-interpretation of the 1968 Diver’s watch is inspired by Japan’s first hi-beat one-piece Diver’s watch created by Seiko. The success of the 1968 model laid the foundation for Seiko Diver’s watch development which for sixty years has innovated in wearable, precise watches for professional and recreational divers. This modern watch is powered by the new in-house Calibre 6R54 and is the first of Seiko’s diving watches with mechanical GMT functionality. Built for wearability: the bracelet fits comfortably due to its low centre of gravity and short-pitch – and durability: with a three-day power reserve and high-quality scratch resistant Japanese ceramic Diving scale, its water resistance is up to 200m.

Yes, Seiko is renowned for producing high-quality, durable watches that offer great value for money. Seiko’s innovation in watchmaking includes the development of the first quartz watch, and they continue to offer a wide range of reliable timepieces.
Seiko produces both affordable and luxury watches. Their Grand Seiko line is considered a high-end, luxury timepiece, offering exceptional craftsmanship and precision, often rivaling Swiss luxury watches.
Seiko watches are primarily made in Japan. However, some models are also assembled in Seiko’s facilities in other countries, such as Malaysia and China, ensuring high standards of quality across all production sites.
With proper care and regular servicing, Seiko watches can last for decades. Their durability and precision ensure that they remain functional and accurate, making them a long-lasting investment for watch enthusiasts.
Most Seiko watches are water-resistant, though the level of water resistance varies by model. Always check the specifications of each watch. Many Seiko diving watches, for instance, offer water resistance of up to 200 metres.
Seiko watches are known for their high level of accuracy. Quartz models are particularly precise, typically deviating only a few seconds per month, while mechanical watches from Seiko, like the Grand Seiko, are known for their impressive timekeeping.
Grand Seiko is Seiko’s luxury line, offering higher-end watches that focus on precision, craftsmanship, and premium materials. Seiko watches, on the other hand, are more affordable and cater to a wider market with a variety of designs and functions.
Seiko’s Kinetic technology is a hybrid system that generates electricity from the movement of your wrist, which powers the watch. Unlike traditional automatic watches, Seiko Kinetic models store the energy in a rechargeable battery, offering the convenience of a quartz watch with the eco-friendliness of mechanical movement.
Some Seiko watches require batteries, such as quartz models. However, Seiko also offers automatic and Kinetic watches, which do not require a traditional battery as they generate power through the movement of the wearer or store energy in a rechargeable battery.
Seiko watches, particularly limited-edition and Grand Seiko models, can be a good investment due to their craftsmanship, reliability, and increasing popularity among collectors. However, as with any investment, value can fluctuate based on market demand.
