IWC Celebrate Over 10 Years with Lewis Hamilton

For over a decade, Lewis Hamilton has won championship titles, broken records, and stole the hearts of motorsport lovers under the banner of Mercedes. Since joining the F1 Racing team in 2013, Hamilton has grown from strength to strength within his career. All the while wearing a breathtaking IWC watch. Celebrating 10 incredible years of partnership, IWC joined the fun with their premier event.  

Winning Championships 

As one of the world's greatest Formula 1 drivers, Lewis Hamilton has accumulated an incredible seven Formula One Driver’s Championship titles and continues to hold the record for the most wins, pole positions, and podium finishes, among other titles.  

And supporting him through his success, IWC Schaffhausen. A brand renowned for their remarkable motorsport watches that provide unmatched precision and sleek aesthetics.  

Today, I am delighted to showcase the IWC watches that can be found upon the wrist of the legend Lewis Hamilton.  

IWC X Lewis Hamilton

Celebrating a decade of F1 success, IWC Schaffhausen held an unforgettable “Best of British” boat ride along the Thames. Afterwards, an intimate cocktail party was held to honour the most memorable IWC brand ambassador.  

Along with the event, there was a pop-up boutique in front of the Battersea Power Station in Malaysua Square where anyone could see the wonderful journey of Lewis Hamiltons success with the Mercedes-AMG PETROAS Formula One Team.  

Within the transparent walls an array of memorabilia could be seen including the iconic trophy from the 2020 British Grand Prix and a recplica of his current racing helmet.

Most importantly, however, selected special edition watches that were designed in collaboration with Hamilton and IWC were on display. And what a treat it was.  

Watches of Memories

On Sunday 7th July 2024, Hamilton soared across the finish line, taking Mercedes to victory for the 9th time and bringing home yet another Formula 1 British Grand Prix Silverstone.   

As he strode to claim his prize and hold that trophy up for all to see, Hamilton can be seen wearing the IWC Pilots Watch Perfromance Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team.  A sleek version of the timepiece worn by the official Mercedes-AMG teams designers.  

Designed in partnership with IWC and Hamilton, this Performance Chronograph is crafted from the unique blend of titanium and ceramic for a balance of comfort and strength. Crafted to handle the bumps and scratches of a race care. The bezel features a unique tachymeter scale, allowing the champion driver to calculate his average speed by measuring the distance traveled by his car. 

 With over a decade of history between them, IWC Scaffhausen went above and beyond to showcase their appreciation and gratitude for the multi-championship racing driver.  From lavish events to unforgettable wins, each watch worn by Lewis Hamilton continues to hold memories that can be cherished forever. As Hamiltons time at Mercedes comes to an end and begins with Ferrari, it is possible that IWC may no longer have their incredible ambassador. Yet a lifetime of memories and victories will be treasured.
