Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra: Tokyo 2020

With the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic games drawing to a close, we have the perfect way commemorate the games. A superb tribute to the games, this 18k yellow gold Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra is a celebration of Omega's role as the official timekeeper, the 2020 games marking Omega's 29th occasion as official timekeeper.
Coming from humble beginnings, a young watchmaker named Louis Brandt opened a small workshop in a small Swiss village. It was here that the 23 year old began the company that would become Omega. Later in 1894 they released the 1894 calibre that set a new standard for watch making. It was so ground-breaking it is still used widely today. Omega have taken the company to new heights and were the very first ever moonwatch, are the timepiece of choice for James Bond and, yes of course, are the official timekeepers of the Olympics.
The case measures in at 41mm in diameter and this looks stunning on the wrist. The yellow gold on this watch really pops against the blue leather strap. The case is made from 18k yellow gold and the dial is covered with domed, scratch“ resistant, sapphire crystal glass, treated with anti-reflective for greater visibility. This model features a screw -in crown and is anti-magnetic, meaning that your timepiece will always be running on time. Just like the athletes at the Olympic Games, the Seamaster Aqua Terra performs beautifully, on land and in water and has a water resistance of 150 meters.
Being the Tokyo 2020 limited edition model, the dial had to be unique. The first Omega Aqua Terra with a ceramic dial, the dial on this timepiece features a polished blue, laser-engraved pattern inspired by the games emblem. To finish off, the dial is completed with rhodium-plated hands and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova for greater visibility in the dark.
Beating at the heart of this model we have the movement commonly found in the Omega Master Chronometer, the calibre 8901 movement. This movement allows a power reserve of an incredible 60 hours. Turn the watch over and you'll see a stunning exhibition back with the Tokyo Olympics 2020 emblem, beautifully showing the intricacies of the movement, which I have to say is my favourite part. With only 2,020 pieces available, each limited edition number is printed on the case back. This model comes with a special Tokyo 2020 presentation box to keep it safe when its not in use. To top it all off, Omega have you covered with a 5 years manufacturer warranty given with this timepiece.
