Today we are taking a closer and more personal look at something that is quite close to many of our hearts; the TAG Heuer Carrera.
From the first Heuer pocket watch that was developed in 1860, to the rebranding to become the famous TAG Heuer in the 1980's, the brand simply has so much history and expertise behind it.
This year marked the ninth consecutive year that Chisholm Hunter has sponsored specialist charity Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland) for its traditional A Question of Burns' dinner fundraiser. Former Scottish international rugby captain Andy Nichol hosted the lavish event, inviting 400 guests to an evening of black-tie grandeur. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed poetry, speeches and a Rabbie Burns-themed quiz, together with four courses of traditional Scottish fayre. As sponsor, we were delighted to be able to add to the opulence of the evening by donating 10 designer watches and two sets of 18ct white gold and diamond earrings as prizes. Part of the grand prize draw, the watches and diamond earrings helped the charity to raise over £46,000 to provide support for those living with the condition, together with their relatives.
CEO Harry Brown expressed his pride at supporting the charity, saying: Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland does an excellent job, which makes a significant difference to the lives of more than 3,000 children, young people and adults in Scotland each year. I hope our sponsorship goes some way in helping the charity to support those affected by spina bifida hydrocephalus and related conditions.
Speaking of the event, Deborah Roe, fundraising director of the charity said A Question of Burns is always a highlight in our events calendar. We're thrilled with the success of the evening, and it is fantastic to receive the continued support from Chisholm Hunter who literally add sparkle to the event. The money raised at the dinner has made a significant difference to the charity's annual fundraising target.
