Today we are taking a closer and more personal look at something that is quite close to many of our hearts; the TAG Heuer Carrera.  

From the first Heuer pocket watch that was developed in 1860, to the rebranding to become the famous TAG Heuer in the 1980's, the brand simply has so much history and expertise behind it. And for many, TAG Heuer for many of you, may be the very first luxury timepiece and brand that you invest in.

This model: the TAG Heuer Carrera, has one of the most eye-catching cases we have ever seen. This case is rife with intricate angles meaning the case reflect light unlike any other. In fact, it is so reflective and bright, this may be one of the most difficult models to film or photograph. The case diameter comes in at a comfortable and sleek 41mm, which nicely sits over the cuff of a shirt.  

At a glance, the dial is overly complex; but on closer inspection it reveals radial turned grooves that cover the dial in incredible patterns. The day-date window is framed by a 3D steel border, which really plays with the light and contrasts wonderfully against the black dial. Likewise, the perfectly paired polished steel hands play with the light, also housing a lumed section for timekeeping in the dark.  

Beneath the dial, beating at the heart of this model lies the incredible TAG Heuer Calibre 5 automatic movement. This incredible movements contains 26 jewels and has a power reserve of approximately 38 hours and sports an expedition case back, so you don't miss out on any of its beauty.  

Overall, the TAG Heuer Carrera really plays tribute to its past, whilst also looking to the future. It lives up to the legend and in many ways, surpasses it. It most definitely is a model which has caught our eye.
