As Chisholm Hunter have grown, our commitment has extended far beyond our own products and services - shown through our support of nonprofit organisations and charities. Established over 50 years ago to provide advice, information and practical help to those affected with the condition and their families, SBH Scotland's work is an inspiration.

So, without further ado, we'd like to introduce you to the charity and the fantastic work they have been doing since 1965. SBH Scotland & Chisholm Hunter believe that no individual should be left alone to cope with the effects of spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus.

About SBH Scotland

For over fifty years, SBH Scotland have provided a lifetime commitment of specialist support and information to all these and associated conditions. Every year the information on SBH's website is accessed over 55,000 times, and their Scotland-wide services are available to over 4,000 children, young people and adults.

They offer a helpline, workshops, individual and family support, home and hospital visits, youth clubs, health check clinics - alongside one to one key workers and respite.

It costs over £1 million every year for SBH Scotland to provide extensive specialist services. However, they are provided with little statutory funding, and rely on the generosity of trusts and the goodwill of volunteers.

SBH Scotland are incredibly grateful to all those who have supported them since 1965 and appreciate any fundraising efforts or contributions.

A Question Of Burns

Chisholm Hunter's yearly Burn's Night event in collaboration with Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland) has been enjoyed by over 500 guests, and hosted by former Scottish Rugby player Andy Nichol.

With the traditional haggis and dram of whisky, Burn's Night is an opportunity to celebrate the legacy of the great Scottish bard. But for Chisholm Hunter, this evening is more than just an excuse to enjoy a night of Scottish splendour. As the presenting sponsor, and an avid supporter of Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland) for over a decade, Chisholm Hunter donated a 9ct White Gold Diamond Necklet, a 14ct White Gold Diamond Pendant and ten Armani watches, all of which were up for grabs as raffle and quiz prizes.

The stellar event, hosted by former Scottish international rugby player Andy Nichol at the Hilton Glasgow hotel, saw 500 guests attend an evening of poetry, with a lavish four-course dinner washed down in the traditional fashion with a dram of Glen Scotia Malt whisky.

Our annual Question of Burns' supper is a highly-anticipated event in our calendar and once  again it did not disappoint.

Without the continuous generosity from the team at Chisholm Hunter and all those who attended our event, we wouldn't be able to provide specialist services to the 3,500 children, young people and their families who live with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus in Scotland. I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped to make the event so special.
