Coming from humble beginnings, a young watchmaker named Louis Brandt opened a small workshop in a small swiss village. It was here were the 23 year old began the company that would become Omega. Later in 1894 they released the 1894 calibre that set a new standard for watch making. It was so ground-breaking it is still used widely today. Omega have taken the company to new heights and are the official timekeepers of the Olympics, are the timepiece of choice for James Bond and, of course, were the very first ever moonwatch.

Now that we have touched on the history, let's get more into the specs of this extraordinary watch legend. The case measures in at 42mm in diameter which looks and feels really strong on the wrist with great presence and weight. It has a more technical look but remains classy. Although there is no water in space, we know for sure this watch has an impressive water resistance of 50 meters so still very practical for down here on earth. 

This dial boasts a manual wind chronograph and tachymetric scale on the bezel, which was once used to calculate the angle of re-entry to earth during the Apollo 13 mission. Featuring a new tapered stainless steel bracelet and an upgraded master chronometer co-axial movement (visible through the stunning sapphire case back) this watch is the perfect blend of history, heritage and modern performance.

Beating at the heart of this model we have Omega's co-axial master chronometer calibre 3861, which powers the small seconds sub-dial, 30-minute recorder and 12-hour recorder, along with the central chronograph function. This movement also allows a power reserve of an incredible 50 hours which is really impressive. A 5 years manufacturer warranty is offered with this model.

Overall this is an incredible piece of history you can wear on your wrist that will look amazing and become a great talking point.
