Brand New Release: The 1857 Collection
- 24 Jul 2020
As Chisholm Hunter have grown, our commitment has extended far beyond our own products and services - shown through our support of nonprofit organisations and charities. Established over 50 years ago to provide advice, information and practical help to those affected with the condition and their families, SBH Scotland's work is an inspiration.
So, without further ado, we'd like to introduce you to the charity and the fantastic work they have been doing since 1965. SBH Scotland & Chisholm Hunter believe that no individual should be left alone to cope with the effects of spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus.
For over fifty years, SBH Scotland have provided a lifetime commitment of specialist support and information to all these and associated conditions. Every year the information on SBH's website is accessed over 55,000 times, and their Scotland-wide services are available to over 4,000 children, young people and adults.
They offer a helpline, workshops, individual and family support, home and hospital visits, youth clubs, health check clinics - alongside one to one key workers and respite.
It costs over £1 million every year for SBH Scotland to provide extensive specialist services. However, they are provided with little statutory funding, and rely on the generosity of trusts and the goodwill of volunteers.
SBH Scotland are incredibly grateful to all those who have supported them since 1965 and appreciate any fundraising efforts or contributions.
Chisholm Hunter's yearly Burn's Night event in collaboration with Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland) has been enjoyed by over 500 guests, and hosted by former Scottish Rugby player Andy Nichol.
With the traditional haggis and dram of whisky, Burn's Night is an opportunity to celebrate the legacy of the great Scottish bard. But for Chisholm Hunter, this evening is more than just an excuse to enjoy a night of Scottish splendour. As the presenting sponsor, and an avid supporter of Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland) for over a decade, Chisholm Hunter donated a 9ct White Gold Diamond Necklet, a 14ct White Gold Diamond Pendant and ten Armani watches, all of which were up for grabs as raffle and quiz prizes.
The stellar event, hosted by former Scottish international rugby player Andy Nichol at the Hilton Glasgow hotel, saw 500 guests attend an evening of poetry, with a lavish four-course dinner washed down in the traditional fashion with a dram of Glen Scotia Malt whisky.
Deborah Roe, fundraising director at SBH Scotland, said:
Our annual Question of Burns' supper is a highly-anticipated event in our calendar and once again it did not disappoint.
Without the continuous generosity from the team at Chisholm Hunter and all those who attended our event, we wouldn't be able to provide specialist services to the 3,500 children, young people and their families who live with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus in Scotland. I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped to make the event so special.
We look forward to seeing you next year!

Established back in 1926, Tudor boasts an amazing long-standing reputation for making watches of the highest of quality. Tudor has maintained a strong style and easily identifiable aesthetic throughout its impressive history as a trusted luxury watch brand, with the Black Bay being one of the brands most iconic collections.

The first and most striking feature to highlight on the new beautifully crafted TUDOR Black Bay 58 is the eye-catching and contemporary navy-blue dial. This exciting new dial colour is set against a classic satin-brushed case that is complemented by beautifully bevelled edges, and polished contrast highlights. The 39mm diameter case is in keeping with the characteristic proportions of the 1950s, ideally proportioned to fit slim wrists, those who prefer a more compact watch and of course, enthusiasts of vintage design.
Like other models in the Black Bay line, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight models feature a dial inspired by the Tudor divers' watches of the 1950s. Featuring the Tudor logo, the classic dial markers and by adopting the famed angular snowflake hands that first appeared in the brands catalogue in 1969, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight earned its place in the impressive Tudor repertoire.
The dial of the new navy blue BB58 model is surrounded by a 60-clock unidirectional stainless-steel bezel that provides a subtle click at 12 o'clock while being protected by an elegant domed sapphire crystal glass. The winding crown tube is in satin-brushed steel, newly featured in the Black Bay line, which bears the TUDOR rose logo in relief.
The stainless steel bracelet features exquisite riveted details, inspired by the famous folding riveted bracelets of the Tudor watches from the 1950s and 1960s.The prestigious TUDOR shield becomes visible on the secure clasp on the reverse when worn and secured on the wrist. The new Black-Bay 58 is also available in a choice of soft-touch blue fabric or leather strap.
The automatic movement of the Black Bay 58 features a robust calibre MT5402 and proudly maintains the COSC certification which provides assurance of the excellence of this incredible watch, along with an impressive 70-hour power reserve. The TUDOR Black Bay 58 with blue dial features 27 jewels and is also waterproof up to 200 meters. A further feature is the bidirectional winding movement and non-magnetic silicon balance spring.
A subtle blend of traditional aesthetics and contemporary watchmaking combines to create the Black Bay line and with this brand-new release comes from over 60 years of expert TUDOR divers' watch history favoured by seasoned professionals and adventurers alike.

The TUDOR Black Bay Fifty-Eight Navy Blue watch comes with a reassuring five-year guarantee and a custom TUDOR presentation box making it the perfect gift for yourself or your loved one.

This week, Bremont unveiled their first releases of 2019 at, what has become a staple of every horologist's calendar, their Townhouse event in London. With many watch companies pulling back from multi-brand events like BaselWorld and SIHH, Bremont have paved the way for solo launch events with their week-long show, now in its third year.

Bremont are proudly British, with their watches assembled in the UK in Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire and founded in 2002 by the aptly named brothers, Nick and Giles English. Whilst their heritage comes from aviation, and this has been their main focus throughout the last 20 years, they have delved into diving watches; with their Supermarine range, racing watches; with their Jaguar models and sports watches, like last year's Endurance model.
They also have an impressive range of Limited Edition watches, usually these have a link to British Military or Aviation history, like the HMS Victory (which incorporated original oak timber and copper from the vessel into the watch) and the Supersonic (which had aluminium from Alpha Bravo, Heathrow's last remaining Concorde in the watch).
2019 marks the 10th anniversary of the Martin Baker range from Bremont and at Townhouse, they have released an exclusive Limited Edition timepiece to mark the occasion. The MBIII is limited to only 310 models worldwide and is available on a stainless steel bracelet and a black leather strap. The models are priced at £4,595 and £4,195 respectively and are expected to be available in June 2019. If you are interested in securing one of these watches for yourself, click here to Pre-Order one today!
Bremont have also added some attractive new lines to their, already excellent, Supermarine range. Following the success of the S300 line released at the first Townhouse event in 2017, they have added a white dial to diversify the range. This line has a smaller case profile than the other Supermarine models, sized at 40mm rather than 45mm. The white dial comes on a bracelet or a blue rubber strap with an additional blue and white Nato strap and are priced at £3,395 and £2,995 respectively. They are available to Pre-Order here and are due for release in May 2019.
Interestingly, Bremont have gone in a slightly different direction with this new range, instead of playing it safe and extending an already existing and successful family they have decided to create a whole new line called the HMAF. HMAF is an acronym for Her Majesty's Armed Forces and the range includes three watches that have been approved for use in the British Armed Forces. In Bremont's own words, The Bremont Armed Forces Collection aims to appeal to both military personnel and civilians alike, delivering a range that combines the need for performance and reliability. And it does just that, with two Aviation inspired models and a Navy inspired watch, it really does appeal to everyone and particularly to fans of vintage Military inspired watches. The Arrow, the Broadsword and the Argonaut, priced between £2,595 - £3,595, click here to see the range.
